Insurance Claims

Submitting Insurance Claims

Tri-County Hospital asks patients to provide the most current insurance information, which will be saved in the computer system for future reference, along with consent for treatment and billing insurance.

Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance claims are filed with primary and secondary insurance carriers.

After dismissal from the hospital, clients receive a summary statement on the cost of the hospital visit and a notice that the information was sent to the insurance carrier.

Once insurance providers make a payment, clients receive another statement in regard to how much the provider paid on the claim and documenting any remaining balance due to Tri-County Hospital.

Arrangements for paying the balance due can be made for patients with insurance deductibles and co-insurance to be met or for uninsured patients.
