Hospice
Hospice is a philosophy that accepts death as a natural part of life and seeks to neither hasten nor prolong the dying process. Instead, Hospice offers a focus on the patient’s comfort and quality of life, rather than aggressive curative treatments.

Who Hospice Serves:
- Hospice care is available for terminally ill patients who are usually diagnosed as having no more than six months to live.
- Provides a caring environment with pain control and palliative care for patients, Hospice also provides respite for the primary caregiver along with support for the patient and their family.
- Care also includes responding to the physical, emotional, social and spiritual impact of the disease on the patient, their significant other and their families.
- Because the needs of each patient and their families are unique, the team works with the patient and their family to personalize a plan of care.
- The patient and their family are the core of the Hospice team and are at the center of all decision-making.
